Marking a significant step toward realizing Ethiopia’s aviation ambitions, ICAD and MBL-leaders of the consortium for the Bishoftu International Airport-recently convened a high-level coordination meeting to outline the project’s strategic roadmap. Discussions centered on the development of what is poised to become Africa’s largest aviation hub, while reinforcing the strong economic and diplomatic ties between Ethiopia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The session was attended by a distinguished delegation of Ethiopian diplomatic leaders and consortium representatives, including:
- Mr. Feroz Mehdi: Director, Representing the ICAD/MBL consortium leadership.
- Dr. Muktar Kedir Abdu: Ethiopian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Mr. Tafa Tulu Dadi: Ethiopian Consul General.
- Mr. Abate Madebo: Ethiopian Consul.
- Mr. Abdela Gultamo Nuri: Ethiopian Minister and Head of Economy Diplomacy Affairs.
This collaboration highlights the consortium’s commitment to delivering a world-class facility that will handle up to 110 million passengers annually, positioning Ethiopia as a premier global gateway.
